Paranormal Nightmare – While Awake!

On Halloween the room was dark except for shadowed branches dancing on the walls. I was alone, awaiting that moment of surrender when my body would cave to the demands of sleep. But sleep never came.

My eyes sprung open at the mention of my name. Thereeeeesa, the voice whispered long and slow. Thereeeeesa.

As if the planets had spun out of control, their centrifugal force racing at a speed too fast for my mind to comprehend, I felt myself plastered to the bed. Every time I tried to lift my arms, my legs, and even my head, I remained glued in place. Panic swept over me in a drenching sweat as I tried in desperation to force myself out of my bed.

Though I poured every bit of strength into every imagined move in my efforts to stand up, I felt my energy deplete with each attempted movement. A kind of prickly numbness stabbed every pore in my skin while I listened to the reverberation of my heart thumping in my ears - drowned out only by my name being called again, Thereeeeesa.

Losing a Floor in an Elevator

I was attending some kind of class, and had gotten in the elevator with two other women. I was wearing some skinny shiny pants with high heeled boots, and a tutu-type wrap around my waist.

We were laughing as we rose to the top and realized that the floor we were supposed to get off on was missing. A man entered the elevator, and we explained to him that we had missed our floor, which, if I remember correctly, was the 24th floor (no significance to me other than one of my sisters was born on the 24th of February). So my elevator friends and I decided that we had better get off on the previous floor and walk up to our missing floor.

As we exited the elevator, our instructor met us and delivered us to our class.

When I got into the classroom, we all sat down with our classmates. It was a very comfortable, fun, and happy class.

It was also on a beach, and I could see people on the water swimming by some rocks.

While I will probably never in my life wear the aforementioned clothing, I can understand losing a floor in a building that wouldn't allow me to get off where I was supposed to get off and take a class I was supposed to take. I've been losing EVERYTHING lately, including my breath (asthma, pneumonia, and bronchitis).

###

This dream was a happy dream. I LOVE learning, so it was no surprise to me that I was taking a class. The fact that a beach was involved made it all the more fun. It was also funny, because I would NEVER wear the clothing mentioned unless maybe I was celebrating Halloween or the Rocky Horror Picture Show!
