Losing a Floor in an Elevator

I was attending some kind of class, and had gotten in the elevator with two other women. I was wearing some skinny shiny pants with high heeled boots, and a tutu-type wrap around my waist.

We were laughing as we rose to the top and realized that the floor we were supposed to get off on was missing. A man entered the elevator, and we explained to him that we had missed our floor, which, if I remember correctly, was the 24th floor (no significance to me other than one of my sisters was born on the 24th of February). So my elevator friends and I decided that we had better get off on the previous floor and walk up to our missing floor.

As we exited the elevator, our instructor met us and delivered us to our class.

When I got into the classroom, we all sat down with our classmates. It was a very comfortable, fun, and happy class.

It was also on a beach, and I could see people on the water swimming by some rocks.

While I will probably never in my life wear the aforementioned clothing, I can understand losing a floor in a building that wouldn't allow me to get off where I was supposed to get off and take a class I was supposed to take. I've been losing EVERYTHING lately, including my breath (asthma, pneumonia, and bronchitis).

###

This dream was a happy dream. I LOVE learning, so it was no surprise to me that I was taking a class. The fact that a beach was involved made it all the more fun. It was also funny, because I would NEVER wear the clothing mentioned unless maybe I was celebrating Halloween or the Rocky Horror Picture Show!

Dream of Dead People Walking

The following dream is very short, and I had it probably 20 years ago, but the observation made at the end explains a lot about my state of mind at the time I had the dream:

I was in a what looked like a small store that was very crowded. The aisles were tight and passing people was difficult because the aisles were so tight. I don't think I was shopping, though. I think I was just passing through, and it looked like everybody else was walking through aisles without shopping too.

As I looked around, I saw a boy who had gone to grammar school with me. I was surprised and delighted to see him, because I had really liked him and it had been decades since I'd last seen him. He had died, after all, when we were in the sixth grade.

Continuing on my journey around the store, I noticed other people from my past, all of whom I was delighted and surprised to see. But again, all of them were dead.

As I noticed more and more people, I realized that every single person in my dream was dead. I wondered, was I dead too?

At the time of this dream, I probably did feel dead inside. My life was in turmoil and it seemed that nothing I did to improve my situation helped. Fortunately, all things must pass (thank you, George Harrison), and, though it took many years to recover from my circumstances, I no longer feel dead inside.

The Meaning of the Internal Dent

Sometimes dreamers experience a dream that has such an obvious message, the dreamer doesn't need to look beyond the surface. Other times, the message is so mysterious, it requires investigation.

The dream I'm about to relate was at first scary, but when I analyzed the dream, I realized that the dream was trying to soothe my soul and perhaps relate a message to somebody I dearly love.

A couple of Marines showed up at my door. When I opened the door and saw them standing there, my first thought was that they were going to tell me that my son had died.

"Your son has experienced an internal dent," the Marines told me.

I almost couldn't speak. "He was in an accident?" I prayed he was OK.

"No, he just experienced an internal dent."

When I awoke from the dream, I tried to understand the meaning behind "internal dent," and then it occurred to me that my son was hurting for some reason, but that he would survive, because dents can be smoothed out. The damage can be fixed.

Jim Carrey's Dream

I previously posted a dream I had about Jim Carrey (Jim Carrey's Massage), which you can read if you click the link. Well today the tables are turned and Jim Carrey is posting a dream about me.

I'm kidding. Unless I'm a golden maniac, the dream is definitely not about me. Here is the dream Jim Carrey posted on Twitter (verbatim):

Last night I dreamt a maniac was outside my house but he was made of gold so I let him in and he took my soul. Kinda M. Night Shamylan! ?;^\

And now for my interpretation of Jim Carrey's dream: The maniac made of gold could be telling Carrey that just become something looks like it's worth a million bucks doesn't mean that it is and it could cost him his soul. Since Carrey invited the maniac into his home, he kinda asked for it.
